About the Workshop
The Workshop on Democratic Leadership in Southeast Asia brings together scholars and researchers to examine the dynamics of political leadership and democratic governance across the region.
The workshop features presentations and discussions on political leadership in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, exploring themes such as democratic resilience, populism, democratic erosion, nation-building and political mobilisation.
Through these country-specific discussions, the workshop seeks to provide a comparative perspective on the diverse forms of political leadership and democratic developments in Southeast Asia.
