Penang Institute, the public policy think tank of the Penang state government is proud to co-host the forum with Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) entitled “Government Audit: Formality or Accountability?”.

It is often said that the Auditor-General’s Report served as the watchdog of the government expenses. However, the question remains as whether is it a formality or is it for accountability. The integrity and transparency of the audit always comes into question. Therefore, Penang Institute and C4 are proud to bring together a panel of speakers comprising of Tan Sri Abu Kassim, MACC Chief Commissioner; Datuk Nur Jazlan, PAC Chairman, YB Steven Sim, Penang Institute Director and a representative from AG Department to discuss further on the competency, accountability and transparency (CAT) of AG’s Report.
Keynote address is to be delivered by YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Chief Minister of Penang.
