On October 29, 2018, Penang Institute had the pleasure of receiving a courtesy call from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Board of Governors. With the meeting, a new partnership between the two institutions was established. With this new partnership, USM hopes to play a bigger role in the development of Penang as a state and in achieving the Penang 2030 vision. Penang Institute very much looks forward to this collaboration. An MoU is in the process of being drafted to be signed, tentatively, in 2019.
