With the help of Tan Bee Eu from BETA Architects, Penang Institute and Universiti Sains Malaysia met to discuss how USM can contribute to Penang state’s Penang2030 agenda. Penang Institute and USM agreed to create channels that can bring USM expertise in various areas more easily into play where policy matters in Penang and Malaysia are concerned. Among other things, Penang Institute’s Penang Monthly magazine will be introducing a column for USM writers related to Penang development and Penang2030.
