Description:
Now that the Penang state government has introduced the Freedom of Information Enactment 2010, what next? Although information officers have been appointed to various state agencies to facilitate the process to obtain information, the workings of this state law is still virtually unknown and untested.

This seminar is a training session for practitioners and members of the public who are interested in the Open Data concept, especially in relation to government. Panelists will discuss methods of implementation, best practices in other countries as well as limitations to Open Data and other related issues.
