Knowledge is sexy, and these bachelor degree students from KDU are no exception 😉
A total of 23 students led by their Research Methodology/Dissertation course lecturer, Dr. Cheah Swee Ting paid a visit to Penang Institute with the aim of widening the students’ horizons on the research areas that contribute to the development of Penang. Our Head of Socioeconomics & Statistics programme, Ms Ong Wooi Leng kicked off the session with a short presentation on the research done by Penang Institute, followed by an extensive Q & A session.
Subsequently, the students visited our Penang Studies Resource Centre where its lead coordinator, Ms Lim Sok Swan explained in detail on the resources contained within the facility. She also encouraged the students to return in the future to further explore and utilise the materials for their research as the resources are shared with anyone interested in doing research on Penang.
