Penang Institute paid a courtesy visit to the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Penang on April 13th, 2021 and was warmly welcomed by the Chinese Consul General, Mr. Lu Shiwei. The Executive Director, Dato’ Dr. Ooi Kee Beng had a fruitful discussion with the Consul General on matters related to international relations and how Penang Institute as a think tank in Penang, Malaysia can play a vital role at a regional level. We believe that through collaboration with the Chinese universities and joint fellowships with think tanks, Penang Institute can help in the international dialogue to make it one that seeks mutual assistance.
The Executive Director was accompanied by the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Secretary of Penang Institute.
