The former Minister of Education, and alumnus of Penang Institute, YB Dr Maszlee Malik visited the Institute and had a hybrid meet-up with the staff of Penang Institute. The Executive Director, Dato’ Dr Ooi Kee Beng, warmly welcomed YB Dr. Maszlee Malik with a thorough introduction to keep him abreast of current and recent projects and on publications from Penang Institute. YB Dr Maszlee shared his insights about education systems with the many analysts present.
A few of our published books including Melayu Pulau Pinang, From Free Port to Modern Economy: Economic Development and Social Change, and Month by Month: A collection of editorials were presented to YB Dr Maszlee Malik in appreciation of his visit.
