Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow launched the Penang Strategy for Economic Ecosystem Development (Penang SEED) at Penang Institute on 12 June 2023, together with Dato’ Dr. Ooi Kee Beng, the Executive Director of Penang Institute. Penang SEED charts the economic action plan for Penang over the next five years, from 2023-2028. Penang Institute plays a central role in collating state and national policies and adapting the Strategy based on the state’s capacity and recent various stakeholders’ discussions on talent, infrastructure, and transportation cutting across manufacturing, tourism, creative industries, and business services, and agritech.
