Penang Monthly, Penang’s leading magazine, will be announcing the winner of the inaugural Penang Monthly Book Prize on 25 November 2017 at Black Kettle. The award celebrates exceptional works of fiction written in the English language which have Malaysia as its partial or full backdrop. A cash prize of RM5,000 will be awarded to the winner. The hour-long event will commence at 6.45pm, with doors opening at 6.15pm.
