The Socio-economic & Environmental Research Institute, in collaboration with the Penang Botanic Gardens, is organising a workshop for the Penang Botanic Gardens.

The workshop is organised to explore ideas and framework for incorporation into the upcoming Special Area Plan for the Penang Botanic Gardens.

The Workshop will focus on several important aspects of the Penang Botanic Gardens, namely botany research, land use planning, horticulture, administration and finance, education and community and traffic management.

All stakeholders and users of the Penang Botanic Gardens are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and opinions for the future of the Penang Botanic Gardens.
